Data Matrix is a two-dimensional code with high information density, capable of storing up to 2,335 alphanumeric characters in a very small space. Grading and verification of Data Matrix codes according to ISO/IEC 15415
The quality of Data Matrix codes is evaluated according to ISO/IEC 15415, which measures parameters such as modulation, decodability, axial contrast, and fixed pattern damage. In pharmaceutical and automotive applications, the minimum required quality level is often A or B on a scale from A to F. Verification systems integrated into production lines check the quality of each individual code and automatically reject non-compliant items.
